CAULIFLOWER PEAS KURMA

INGREDIENTS:

Cauliflower cut into medium size flowerettes   1  cup

Fresh Peas  1/4  cup

Grated coconut  2  tbsp

Poppy seeds  3 tsp

Cinnamon  1/4  inch

Cloves  3

Cardamom  2

Cumin seeds  1  tsp

Coriander seeds  2  tsp

Big onion  1

Tomato  1

Red chilly  1

Green chilly  1

Coriander leaves  1/2  cup

Ghee  2  tsp

Oil  1  tbsp

Salt

PREPARATION METHOD:

Soak cauliflower  in salt water for 10  minutes.

Remove from water, wash well and keep it aside.

Cut onion and tomato lengthwise.

Add ghee and oil to a hot pan.

Add cinnamon, cloves and cardamom and fry for a few seconds.

Add onion and fry in high heat for a minute.

Add cauliflower and peas and fry in high heat for 2 to 3 minutes.

Reduce the heat to minimum and close the pan with a lid.

Mix often and let it get cooked.

Dry grind poppy seeds, coriander seeds, cumin seeds and red chilly.

Now add coconut, green chilly and coriander leaves to the mixie jar.

Grind with water into a smooth paste.

When cauliflower is cooked well add tomato to the pan and fry.

When tomato is soft add the ground paste, little water and mix well.

Add suficient salt and cook in medium heat.

When the kurma is boiling  switch off the stove.

Serve hot with idly or dosa or puri or chapathi.
