RADISH SAG

INGREDIENTS:

Radish  300 gms

Big onion  2  big

Tomatoes   3  medium size

Ginger  1  inch

Garlic   3 to 4  cloves

Green chillies   2  to 3

Coriander leaves   A  small bunch

Grated coconut   2 tbsp

Cinamon  1  inch length

Cloves  2 to 3

Sugar  1  tsp

Salt

PREPARATION METHOD:

Cut radish in to 1 inch cubes and pressure cook it.

Cut onion lengthwise.

Grind tomatoes, chillies, ginger, garlic, coconut and coriander leaves into a smooth paste.

Add  2  tbsp oil to a hot pan and add cinamon and cloves.

Fry for a minute and add onion and fry till it becomes soft.

Add cooked radish and ground paste to the pan and mix well.

Add sufficient water to the gravy and cook it in medium heat.

When the gravy is boiling add salt and sugar and mix well.

Cook for one more minute and switch off the heat.

Serve hot with chapathis and rotis.

PS: White pumpkin can also be used instead of radish.

Ladies finger also will suit well.
