CAULIFLOWER AND POTATO CURRY

INGREDIENTS:

Potato  2  (Medium size)

Cauliflower (cut into bite size)   100  grams

Cumin seeds  1/2  tsp

Coriander seeds  1  tsp  (powder it)

Small green chillies  2  or 3

Rasam powder  1/4  tsp  (Or as per requirement)

Turmeric powder  1/4  tsp

Asafoetida

Salt

PREPARATION METHOD:

Soak the cauliflower pieces into a bowl of salted water for 1/2 an hour.

Wash well and add it to a bowl.

Boil in water with sufficient salt and turmeric powder for 2 minutes.

Drain the water and keep it aside.

Peel and cut potatoes into 1 inch cubes.

Boil it in water with sufficient salt and turmeric powder till it becomes soft.

Drain the water and keep it aside.

Add 1  tbsp oil to a hot pan and add cumin seeds.

Add a pinch of  asafoetida and cut green chillies.

Add potato and cauliflower and mix gently.

Add rasam powder and coriander seeds powder.

Mix gently and check for taste.

Add very little salt, if required.

Switch off the stove and serve hot with hot white rice and a spoon of ghee.
