CHOW CHOW PACHADI

INGREDIENTS:

Chow chow  1  (Medium size)

Thick fresh curd  1/2 cup

Salt

Mustard seeds  1/4 tsp

Urad dhal  1 tsp

Red chilly  1  (Long)

Asafoetida   A pinch

Curry leaves  and coriander leaves   A few

PREPARATION METHOD:

Peel the outer skin and remove the centre white part.

Grate it and add to a bowl.

Add fresh curd and salt.

Season it with mustard seeds, urad dhal, asafoetida, red chilly and curry leaves.

Add cut coriander leaves and mix well.

Serve with white rice and any rasam. (Goes well with plain white rice too)

PS: This should be prepared just before serving.

Water content of this vegetable should not be drained.
