Rava (Semolina) Kichadi

Ingredients:
Rava 1 cup Vermicelli 1/4 cup Big onion 2 Tomato 1 Beans 4 or 5 Carrot 1 Peas 2 tbsp Capsicum (Bell pepper) 1/2 Green chillies 3 or 4 Finely cut ginger 2 tsp Curry leaves and coriander leaves A few Salt Mustard seeds 1tsp Urad dhal 1 tsp Bengal gram 2 tsp Broken cashews 1 tbsp Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp Preparation Method: Dry roast rava till it becomes very hot. Cut onion, carrot, tomato and capsicum into small pieces. Cut green chillies into 4 pieces. Add 4 tbsp oil in a hot pan. Add mustard seeds, urad dhal, bengal gram and cashews. Fry till cashew turns golden. Add peas and fry for a minute and add carrot and beans. Fry in high flame till beans softens. Add onions, ginger, curry leaves and capsicum and fry. After onion turns translucent add tomato and turmeric powder. Fry in a high flame for two minutes. Lower the flame and close it with a lid. Let it for two minutes and add 3 cups of water. Now let the water boil in high flame. When the water is boiling add salt and vermicelli. After a minute add rava slowly. While adding rava keep stirring constantly to avoid lumps. Now close it with a lid and let it get cooked for a minute. Now simmer the flame and after few minutes remove the lid. Add cut coriander leaves and mix well. Serve hot with coconut chutney.
