Tomato chutney

Ingredients:

Tomatoes  5

Long green chillies 3

Small onions  A handful or big onions 2 large

Coriander leaves  and curry leaves

Salt

Jaggery 2 tsp

Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp

Seasoning:

Mustard seeds 1/2 tsp

Urad dhal 2 tsp

Asafoetida 1/4 tsp

Preparation Method:

Grind together cut tomatoes,green chillies,coriander and curry leaves with water.

Heat 6 tsp of oil in a pan.

Add mustard seeds,urad dhal, asafoetida and turmeric powder and fry.

Add  chopped onions and fry till translucent.

Add the ground paste, salt and jaggery and let it boil for two minutes.

Remove it from heat and decorate it with coriander leaves .

Serve with hot idlis.
