Pasiparuppu Payasam
INGREDIENTS:
1. Pasiparuppu 1/4 cup
2. Milk 1 cup (As per requirement)
3. Jaggery 1/2 cup
4. Broken cashews 1 tbsp
5. Cardamom powder 1/2 tsp
6. Ghee 1 tbsp
PREPARATION METHOD:
a. Add powdered jaggery to a bowl and add 1/4 cup water.
b. Heat it and stir till jaggery dissolves.
c. Filter it and let it cool.
d. Pressure cook pasiparuppu with sufficient water.
e. Add one tbsp ghee to a hot pan and fry cashews till golden.
f. Remove the cashews and add pasiparuppu to the pan.
g. Add milk and let it boil.
h. Switch off the stove and add cardamom powder and let it cool.
i. Now add the jaggery to the payasam and mix well.
j. Garnish with cashews.
Jaggery should not be added to the payasam when it is hot.
