Bread Chola (Green Gram)
|Bread Chola Ingrediants:
Green Gram 1/2 cup Poppy seeds 1 tbsp Red chillies 4 Coriander seeds 1 tbsp Cumin seeds 1 tbsp Big onions 4 big Tomatoes 2 big Garlic flakes 4 to 5 Coriander leaves A small bunch Mint leaves 1/4 cup Jaggery 2 tsp Salt Garam Masala Powder 1 tsp Preparation method: Soak green gram in water for 8 hours. Cut onions finely. Pressure cook green gram. Powder coriander seeds, poppy seeds, chillies and cumin seeds. Grind 2 tbsp cooked green gram, garlic and 2 tbsp onions. Add 2 tbsp oil to a hot pan and add 3/4 onions and fry till soft. Add cut tomatoes and fry in high heat till it is cooked. Add green gram and ground paste and cook in medium heat. When it is boiling add salt, jaggery and ground powder. Add finely cut mint leaves and cook in low heat for a minute. The gravy should be thick enough to apply on the bread. Toast the bread with butter. Apply the gravy on the bread and sprinkle cut onions. Above that sprinkle finely cut coriander leaves. Serve hot.
