Chenna Battura
|Ingredients for Chenna:
Kaboli Chenna 100 gms
Coconut grated 1/2 cup
Garlic 3 big in size
Dry chillies 3
Onion 2
Tomatoes 2 ( cut in small pieces)
Salt
Sugar 1 tsp
Garam masala powder 1/2 tsp
Cilantro for garnishing
Ingredients for Battura:
Maida 1 and 1/2 cups
Yogurt (Fermented) 1/3 cup approximately
Sugar 1 1/2 tsp
Ghee 1 tsp
Salt to taster
Cooking Method for chenna:
Soak chenna 12 hours before cooking.
Pressure cook chenna after 12 hours.
Add oil in hot pan . Add chopped onions till it becomes translucent.
Add the chopped tomatoes .
Add cooked chenna.
Grind coconut +garlic flakes + dry chillies with water and add the paste to chenna.
Add salt sugar and garam masala powder. Remove from stove when the gravy becomes thick.
Garnish with cilantro
Method for battura:
Mix Fermented Yogurt, salt , sugar and ghee in a bowl.
Mix till sugar dissolves and curds become smooth.
Now start adding maida little by little until it abosrbs all the flour.
Keep the dough asaide for one hour.
Now make thick puris in that and fry in oil with moderate heat.
Enjoy hot batturas with chenna.
