Ragi Adai
Ingredients:
Ragi Flour 1 cup
Finely chopped onion 1 big
Tamarind paste 2 to 3 tbsp
Green chillies 5 ( As per requirement)
Salt
Curry leaves and coriander leaves A few
Jaggery 2 tsp
Water 1 cup
Preparation Method:
Grind green chillies, curryleaves and coriander leaves with little water.
Add water in a bowl and bring to boil.
Add the ground paste,tamarind paste, chopped onions, and salt to the bowl.
When the water is boiling add jaggery and stir till jaggery is dissolved.
Now add the flour, stir it quickly and switch off the stove.
Close it with a lid and keep it aside for 30 minutes.
After 30 minutes open the lid and make lemon sized balls.
Oil a thick plastic sheet and keep the ball in it and press it to 1/2 cm thickness.
Add this to a hot tawa and toast it in medium flame with oil.
Serve hot with onion chutney.
