Gooseberry Rice
|Ingredients:
Raw rice 1/2 cup
Gooseberry 3 medium size
Grated coconut 4 tbsp
Long green chilly 2 (according to taste)
Curry leaves and coriander leaves a little
Salt
Seasoning:
Mustard seeds 1 tsp
Urad dhal 2 tsp
Asafotida 1/4 tsp
Oil 4 tbsp
Preparation method:
Pressure cook rice with a little lesser water than usual and spread it on a plate.
Remove the seeds and grind the gooseberries along with coconut andgreen chillies.
Along with that add curry leaves, coriander leaves, a little water and salt and grind it to a smooth paste.
Heat oil in pan,add mustard seeds, asafotida and urad dhal.
Roast it till urad dhal turns golden brown.
Now add the ground paste.
Fry in medium heat for a few minutes and add the rice and mix it gently.
Remove it from stove and serve gooseberry rice with pappad or any chips.
