SOUR CURD RICE CAKE

Ingredients:
Boiled rice 1 cup
Thick Sour curd 1/2 cup
Green chillies 3 or 4
Cut small onion 1/4 cup
Curry leaves A few
For seasoning:
Bengal gram 1 tbsp
Urad dhal 2 tsp
Mustard seeds 1 tsp
Asafoetida 1/4 tsp
Salt
Water 2 and 1/2 cup (including for grinding)
PREPARATION METHOD:
Wash and soak rice in water for an hour.
Wash and soak bengal gram in water separately for an hour.
Grind rice, sour curds, green chillies, curry leaves and salt smoothly.
Add 3 tbsp oil in a hot pan and add mustard seeds and urad dhal.
Add soaked bengal gram and asafoetida.
Add cut small onions and fry till soft.
Now add ground batter and stir well in high heat.
When the batter becomes thick close the pan with a lid and cook in low heat.
Mix the batter well in between.
When the batter is cooked well switch off the heat.
Transfer the batter to a greased plate and flatten it evenly.
When it is cool cut it into pieces.
Serve with garlic chutney.
