Gooseberry Pickle

Ingredients:

Gooseberry 1/2 kg Coriander seeds 1 and 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds 1 tsp Fenugreek 1 tsp Chilly powder 2 to 3 tsp Salt Mustard seeds 1 tsp Asafoetida 1/2 tsp Preparation Method: Wash gooseberries and drain well. Arrange them in a broad bowl and pour water for 1/2 inch. Pressure cook them for two whistles. Let it cool completely. Now remove the seeds and add salt and chilly powder. Dry roast coriander seeds, fenugreek and cumin seeds. Powder it and add it to the pickle and mix well. Add 1 tbsp oil to a pan and add mustard seeds and asafoetida. Let it cool and then add it to the pickle. Mix well and refrigerate the pickle. Use dry spoons for preparing the pickle.
