Kuzhi Paniyaram (Indian Dumplings)

Kuzhi Paniyaram
Ingredients:
Raw rice 1 cup
Boiled rice 1 cup
Urad dhal  3 tbsp
Salt 
Long green chillies 6 or 7
Curry leaves and coriander leaves  A few
Ginger 2 inches
Bengal gram  2 tbsp
For seasoning:
Mustard seeds 1 tsp
Asafoetida 1/4 tsp
Preparation Method:
Soak raw rice, boiled rice and urad dhal together in water for 1 hour.
Grind them, mix the salt and keep it aside for 12 hours.
After 12 hours grind green chillies, ginger, curry leaves and coriander leaves.
Add little water and grind.
Soak the bengal gram in water for 1 hour.
Now mix the ground paste and bengal gram with the batter and mix well.
Season the batter with spluttered mustard seeds and asafoetida.
Mix the batter well and make paniyarams  in medium flame.
Serve hot with coconut chutney, Idly milagai podi and gingely oil.
Garlic chutney and coriander chutney are also good combinations for this.
