TOMATO KULAMBU
INGREDIENTS:
1. Tomatoes  3  Medium size
2. Onion  2  Big
3. Green chillies  2
4. Red chilly  1
5. Ginger  1/4 inch
6. Garlic  3 flakes
7. Grated coconut  3 tbsp
8. Roasted gram  1 tbsp
9. Cinnamon  1 inch
10.Cloves  3
11.Poppy seeds  1 tbsp
12.Curry leaves  A few
13.Aniseed  1/2 tsp 
14.Asafoetida   a generous pinch
15.Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
16.Coriander leaves  1/4 cup

PREPARATION METHOD:
a.Dry grind poppy seeds, aniseed, cinnamon, cloves and red chilly.
b.Wet grind coconut, roasted gram, green chillies and coriander leaves.
c.Also grind two tomatoes, ginger and garlic.
d.Cut onions and one tomato length wise.
e.Add 2 tbsp oil to a hot pan and add asafoetida and onions. 
f.Fry till onion becomes soft and add tomatoes.
g.Fry tomatoes in a high flame till it becomes soft.
h.Now add all ground pastes and water and mix well.
i.Add turmeric powder and required salt.
j.When kulambu is boiling switch off the stove.
k.Serve hot with idlis or dosas.
